I don’t know why, but for some reason, I found Inui Sadaharu’s actors from 1st and second generation cast intriguing.
I mean, Aoyama and Hirofumi both succeeded in portraying the role of Seigaku’s Data Tennis Analyzer Inui Sadaharu, but for some reason, I found the both of them lacking characters separately.
On the first generation casting, I found Aoyama to be funny, a perfect portrayal of Inui whenever he does something really awful (in other words, aozu) or in times when… when he just feels to appear funny. So in this one, I conclude that Aoyama only portrayed that funny side of Inui, although I admit that during his match with Echizen (Yanagi Kotarou), he was playing a very serious character of Inui. Aside from that, he made me laugh really hard, from failing at singing during the first Dream Live up to his last message from their graduation.
On the other hand, Hirofumi showed a really serious side of Inui. I cannot even remember if he ever he made a joke even once (wait. That time in the second Dream Live during his conversation with Mizuki). To be honest, I was actually expecting this (the second) generation to be the funniest, since I first watched the live action before the Musicals, and I also saw their crazy deeds on backstage videos.
Now I wonder if the third generation actor of Inui would act both personalities…
